The Smaller Authorities (Transparency Requirements) (England) Regulations 2015 require us to publish certain details in connection with our accounts. Those for Flitton and Greenfield Parish Council for 2017-2018 are published below.  They have been internally and externally audited, please see section below for details on how to see a copy.

Annual Return for the year ended 31st March 2018

Notes

1.         The audit of accounts for the Council/Meeting (a) for the year ended 31 March 2018 has been concluded.

2.     The Annual Governance and Accountability Return is available for inspection by any local government elector of the area of the Council /Meeting

(a) on application to:

(a) Delete as appropriate

(b) Clerk to the Council at The Church Hall, Brook Lane, Flitton, MK45 5EJ or email clerk@flittongreenfield.org.uk

(b) Insert name, position and address of the person to whom local government electors should apply to inspect the Annual Return

2.         Copies will be provided to any local government elector on payment of £10 (c) for each copy of the Annual Return.

 

(c) Insert a reasonable sum for copying costs

Grant Aid

Flitton & Greenfield Parish Council raise money in the form of taxes which is collected with your council tax bill. 

The majority of your council taxes are spent by Central Bedfordshire Council on statutory duties Education, Roads, Social Services etc.

However a relatively small amount of money goes to the Parish Council to be spent on the Playing Field, Cemetery, grass cutting and general maintenance to improve the appearance of the Villages.

The Parish Council does have some finance available to fund projects which are deemed to benefit the community or may be run by volunteers from the community. Some of the funding may have been obtained from third parties already or you may be starting from scratch. Risk Assessment Registers

The Council maintains risk assessment registers for everything it does and updates these annually. Please note that the Council does have public liability insurance to cover its lawful activities in maintaining assets in all areas of its work.The Council also acknowledges the risk across all areas of work relating to GDPR and is doing everything to implement the Regulations.
