Join Bedfordshire Police And Make A Difference In Our County
|Bedfordshire Police is a small force with big opportunities, and are offering people who want to make a difference in our county the opportunity to carve out a diverse career as a police officer.
As a police officer with Bedfordshire Police, you will have the chance to work across a variety of departments, as well as the opportunity to progress your leadership and negotiation skills. Continuous development is something we continue to encourage.
To apply you will first need to submit an online application form, and if you are successful you will be invited to attend an assessment centre to complete a variety of tests. If you pass, you will then be invited to an interview and then successful candidates will be made a conditional offer, subject to vetting and a medical exam.
PC Karanjit Sanghera left his job in the transport industry to join Bedfordshire Police two years ago.
He said: “Joining my local police force was one of the best decisions I have ever made as I am not only doing a job that I really enjoy, but I’m also working to protect and help people in my own community.
“My advice to anyone who is thinking of applying, just do it. It’s not a job that will suit everyone, but it’s definitely a job like no other, so if it’s something that you think you could be good at, then take the opportunity!”
We are hosting an information evening on Thursday (17 January) at the Auction House in Luton, from 6.30pm until approximately 9pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from serving police officers about their time with the force, and learn more about the application process. If you’d like to attend, please register your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Recruitment for police officers is open until 3 February. To find out more or to apply, visit our recruitment pages or read the job advert.
